Certified Nurse Midwives

The SCL Certified Nurse-Midwives are looking for CNMs to help us expand our program to Good Samaritan Medical Center and Platte Valley Medical Center.  We are looking for applicants who have experience launching a new practice or helping to expand and grow an established practice.  Additional preferred clinical skills would include C-Section 1st Assist, 1st and 3rd trimester ultrasounds and Centering Pregnancy experience.  Training will be provided in each of these areas if experience is limited.


Candidates must meet the criteria for Certified Nurse-Midwives by Medical Staff Bylaws, Clinical Rules and Medical Staff Rules and functions in accordance with the American College of Nurse-Midwives Standards for Nurse-Midwifery Practice.   CNM’s work in a collaborative relationship with physicians.  Experience as faculty for medical students, residents and nurse-midwifery students is preferred. The practice works closely with nursing and ancillary staff to provide high-quality, satisfying care to patients and their families.  CNM’s participate in the outreach and community education to foster the Mission and promote business growth initiatives.


Education Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

  • Master’s Degree (Nursing, Public Health)

  • Graduation from an ACNM accredited nurse-midwifery education program

  • One year full-scope nurse-midwifery practice


Licensure & Certification:

  • Current license to practice nursing in Colorado

  • Registered as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Colorado

  • Current ACNM Certification

  • Current enrollment in the AMCB CCA or CMP

  • Colorado Prescriptive Authority

  • Current DEA Number

  • BLS

  • NRP
